Replacement heating element.
Replacement received, albeit more expensive than I expected.
It was very well wrapped and inside a cardboard tube and coated in plastic (both of which we have recycled.) Thank the person who did all this, he or she did a great job.
My only complaint lies with DHL who messaged us, as they all seem to do these days, that it would be delivered on 4/12/24 between 11.04 and 20.00 hours.
So we waited in all day and then it got to 22.00 hours and it was obvious that no delivery would be made.
So why does a company which appears very good at telling us all when they will (allegedly) deliver not tell us why they have failed to do so.
Surely if all it requires to tell us, wrongly, when they will supposedly deliver, then don't, is to press a button on a computer somewhere, then why is it so difficult to tell us when and why they are not keeping to their contract with us?
They then messaged us on 5/12/24 to say the package would be delivered between 17.10 and 18.10 that day, so once again the house was ablaze with lights on to let them know we were in and there were two cars on the driveway.
I should mention that in the original instructions on DHL site when they gave us details of the first (failed) delivery details, in the box for any information to them, I put that if there was no reply at the door, to leave the small package behind the locked steel gate at the side of the house, JUST IN CASE WE HAD TO GO OUT IN ANY UNLIKELY EMERGENCY.
However that was not the case on either day.
Halfway through the one hour delivery slot on 5/12/24, I got a message on my phone to tell me the package had been delivered and there it was when i looked behind the gate.
Fortunately, as I said above it was well wrapped as it was wet weather.
It should have been obvious to anyone that we were at home with two cars on the driveway and lights on to indicate such.
I had also mentioned in the box referred to above that if there was a car there, we were at home.
So, are some delivery drivers afraid there will be kidnapped if they have to speak to a customer at the doo?
